Okay, so I was finishing feeding my dog for dinner when I saw something that looked like a deer running in my neighbor's yard. At first, I thought I might have been hallucinating it, but no. There was a fucking deer in my neighbor's yard.

I stared at it for, like, a few minutes until I decided to tell my mom. So, I was all like, "Hey, Mom. There's a deer-looking-thing in [neighbor's name]'s yard!" And she looked out of the den window where she was at, and she was like, "Holy shit, there is a deer in [neighbor's name]'s yard! Let's go outside and see it!"

So, we went outside and tried to find where the deer was; our dog went with us, too. Well, as soon as we walked out into our backyard, our dog just went ape shit and started barking like crazy. We thought she was barking at the deer, but then we saw another dog in another neighbor's yard. Oh, and the deer? It was in the other neighbor's yard- right in front of our backyard.

So, we had to haul the dog back inside the house in case the deer accidentally hurt our dog, and let me tell you that my dog may look small, but she's heavy as fuck. Anyways, we went back into the yard and tried to look for the deer. There were other neighbors out looking for the deer, too. One of them, the one with the backyard right in front of ours, was calling Animal Control (at least, that's what I was thinking), and basically, Animal Control decided not to do anything about the deer, which is kind of ridiculous in my opinion. Animal Control said to ignore the deer, which is hard to do because it's a fucking deer in suburbs. Deer do not belong in the suburbs; they belong in the woods.

And it was a baby deer, too. It had all those little white spots on its side, and the poor thing must've been so afraid and confused. It was running at, like, a hundred miles per hour, and I just felt kind of bad for the poor thing. And it was a cute little deer, too. I hope it finds its mom or ends up in a safe place.
