New Story Coming by MviluUatusun

To those who have been reading my "Michael and Amanda" story, I've finally caught up with the other sites that I'm posting the story to. Therefore, I'm going to start uploading an older story, one that I finished 8 years ago. It's called "Marooned on Tashoo". It's the story of a 25th Century human. Lt. Cmdr. William Henry Watson, who is involved in an interstellar war as a fighter pilot. He is a natural as a warrior and quickly becomes the top ace in the Interstellar Terran Navy. The enemy, the Khorcha, wants him out of the war so badly that they kidnap him, take him to a world within their empire and leave him there hoping the inhabitants of that world, the Mory, will kill him for them. The Mory are a species that look like a cross between the lion, the tiger, and the dinofelis. Unfortunately for the Khorcha, William's captor, My-Rora, chooses to take him as a slave rather than kill him. William learns their language and slowly earns the respect of the natives of the village where he finds himself a slave, except for the leader of the village, called the Ka'yno, who wants him dead because of an ancient prophecy.

In the story, a chapter has quite a lot of the native language of Tashoo. So, I'm going to give you a letter pronunciation guide for when that chapter arrives. Unlike English, the "letters" of the language of Tashoo have only one pronunciation. In the alphabet listed below, you'll notice that several letters of the English alphabet are missing. This is because they are redundant in pronunciation or the feline mouth is incapable of making the sound.

A is pronounced as it is in Father.
Ch is pronounced as it is in Chapter.
D is pronounced as it is in Doctor.
E is pronounced as it is in Echo.
F is pronounced as it is in Father.
G is pronounced as it is in Goat.
H. is pronounced as it is in Hotel.
I is pronounced as it is in India.
J is pronounced as it is in Jacques.
K is pronounced as it is in Kilo.
L is pronounced as it is in Lima.
LL is pronounced as Y is in Yam.
M is pronounced as it is in Mother.
N is pronounced as it is in Night.
O is pronounced as it is in Over.
OO is pronounced as it is in Moon.
R is pronounced as it is in Right.
S is pronounced as it is in Self.
Sh is pronounced as it is in Shell.
T is pronounced as it is in Time.
Th is pronounced as it is in Three, not They.
U is pronounced as it is in Under.
V is pronounced as it is in Victor.
Y is pronounced as it is in Tiny.
Z is pronounced as it is in Zebra.

The only exception to these pronunciations is when U is followed by a vowel. In this situation, it is pronounced as W is any word where W is followed by a vowel, i.e. Way.
