When I was less than 10 years old, I got a kitten and named her Tabby. Tabby is still alive and has been with me for 2/3 of my life.
But she might not be alive for much longer. She was having a lot of difficulty eating. It turns out that swollen tissue was keeping her mouth closed.
The vet cut some of the tissue away and had some sent for testing. It turns out that Tabby has cancer.
The vet said even if they took it out, it'll just come back, and it's probably already spread.
I know I'll have to have her put to sleep. I don't know when though.
I want to be able to enjoy some time outside before her time is up.
I'm very sad about the situation.
