Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Monster Mile! Today the FURCAR drivers take on the track at Dover, tempting fate as they strive to conquer this monumental track.

Qualifying got underway with a new face as rookie Harry took to the track for his first FURCAR race. Setting a record-breaking lap time, Zero took the pole early, watching carefully as Croco, Cheesebeagle, and Slidewolf took some fast laps throughout the rest of qualifying. However, his time ultimately held and both he and Slidewolf will lead the field to the green flag on Sunday.

After the pre-race ceremonies, the FURCAR drivers got down to work, determined to do the best they could against this tough track. With the green flag, the field swept past the front grandstands to the roars of the crowd.

Almost immediately the trouble started as K'gra and Duzzy were vying for the same lane on the track. The leopard bumped into Valo, sending them both spinning across all lanes of the track and into the wall, collecting Oren who tried to wend his way between them. All three cars were heavily damaged but eventually returned to the track many laps down.

Croco blew a motor just past the halfway point in the race, bringing out another caution so the track crews could clean up the oil he laid down as he tried to get back to the pits.

Three-quarters of the way through the race, the drivers in the middle of the pack started to make their push towards the front, most passing cleanly, some not so clean. Tigris and Edscott were in and out of the pits to fix damage to body panels and get new tires. Zero and Slidewolf slid back with the crush at the front of the field as Moon Mochi and Raz Yoshi swapped places, creating some funny clips from the broadcasting booth as the announcers tried to say both names quickly without tying their tongue in knots.

Finally it was down to the last laps of the race. Shockey Rai, Cheesebeagle, Jackie Rae, and Zero were driving hard and swapping the same four positions back and forth. Belic pulled ahead of Kenku, and the rookie Harry nosed ahead of Raz and Moon Mochi to slip into third. And that was how it finished, with Shockey, Cheese, Jackie Rae, and Zero packed so tightly together that track officials later went out to measure the track and compare it to photos of the cars crossing the finish line four-wide as they tried to figure out how it had been done without reslting in a huge crash.

So after his terrible finish in the first race at Charlotte, Belic vaulted into dominance of the season points, dragging Moon Mochi and Raz Yoshi behind him into second and third. Shockey Rai fell one spot into fourth, and Jackie Rae had a great day and jumped up into fifth.
