Blocking Search Engines? by Phraggle
Hi.
Is it possible to keep one's art from showing up on search engines here? Such as Google? Thanks. :-)

It is kind of worrying when you see one of them pop up, isn't it? Afraid I don't know of a way to stop it happening.

Yeah. It' doesn't look like there's a way to block it here. :-)

The site hosting your artwork needs to "tell" Google's indexers to disregard the their site. Unfortunately, it's not in most sites' self-interest to limit their exposure if advertising and traffic are what drive revenue :(

Honestly if you don't want people searching for it then it's best not to post it. There's no way of keeping someone dedicated to finding your art from finding it unless you keep it on a private server you only share with people you trust absolutely.

I don't think so... but, I COULD be dead wrong..
