Slightly Ambiguous Words [foul language] by foxboyprower

In the last journal I mentioned a list of bad excuses to be a dickhead. Now there are plenty of other terms I could have used, but it took me a while to find the one that was most appropriate. A few examples of the similar terms are ones such as asshole, jerk, douchebag, dirtbag, and slimeball. While they all are negative terms to refer to an unpleasant person, there is some variety. Each has subtle differences giving many of them little niches in describing the wide variety of unpleasant people.

What I mostly find interesting about this is that these subtle differences seem have varying degrees of subjectivity to the definition. Many might all agree that "slimeball" is best used to show contempt and disgust for a person in high power. However "dickhead" might be best used for certain things depending on whom you ask. Some may find it best to refer to ex-boyfriends while others just use it in a general sense.

I tried to make a handy venn diagram of all these terms according to my subjective view of them. However many of the terms were too broad for me since I don't use them very often. Additionally a venn diagram didn't seem to work very well to illustrate the diversity of unpleasant people and the terms to describe them.

However there was another group of similar slightly ambiguous words that made a very nice chart. I'm sure most of us are more familiar with these terms, so enjoy.
