So yeah. I have Nephrotic syndrome.

Basically. The kidneys become inflamed and are unable to filter protein from the blood. This then ends up in my body, causing me to quite literally "blow up". It causes puffiness around my eyes (causing me to look much like a Chinese person) and my legs turn solid, like rocks- due to the liquid that's now in my body. There are only a few treatments for this because the disorder is quite rare, so not much is known about how to treat it. All I know is that my body doesn't respond to the medicines so I have to have steroids (as well as regular blood tests *cries*).

I've recently been without a "relapse" for over 3 years now and I'm pretty pissed (since I started to enjoy life a bit more).

For, although "Doctors define complete recovery as living without symptoms or treatment for more than 2 years." mine likes to be a tit and surprise everyone.

For me it means that I have been in extreme discomfort for the past couple of days and until I get my treatment I am just going to keep ballooning up and my skin shall become tighter.

So I apologise to anyone I owe art to (as far as I'm aware I don't) and please understand that new works from me shall be coming out very slowly as it usually takes about a month for my system to start working "normally" again.

Doctors aren't sure what causes the relapses, but I'm pretty sure it's stress, as I've linked my past relapses with very stressful events and, what with my final exams coming up alongside the inability to remember anything, what more proof do you need?

I just really hope I don't have to go for a blood test- needles are my worst fear y'know.

But mostly, I hope I'm feeling better for Skunky's birthday, as well as my final exams in two weeks...

I've been in and out of hospital over the past few days. They've doubled my medicine dosage, ran some tests (took some blood DX).

So, yeah. Kidneys are still inflamed, so please don't expect a lot of art right now because my body has swollen up so much I look like an obese Penguin/ Otter. Like seriously. Comparing me to a balloon would be a more convenient choice!
