My mother has been diagnosed with cancer.

Again.

This time, it's in her uterus.

So I am going to be her caretaker through treatment again...which means an exponential increase in my stress levels...which were already about 4x maximum to begin with due to the current "climate" and my workplace.

Thus, I am asking for your emotional support during this time, however long it may be.

I'll post an update after her appointments today.

UPDATE NUMBER ONE:

It turns out that the breast cancer my mother had years ago has metastasized and become this uterine cancer.

According to the biopsy surgeon, it's rare but does happen.

Oncologist visit is later today. Will post an update once that is done.

UPDATE NUMBER TWO:

Back from the oncologist.

He's ordered a head MRI as well as a full-body scan to rule out additional spread. Also a mammogram to make sure her other breast is not infected as well.

Very rapid timetable on all of this, as all the tests are to be done before the 14th, but then that is his style. Very aggressive versus cancer.

Looking at hysterectomy for certain, possibly chemotherapy afterwards. Depends on scan results.
