Commission Terms of Service by KikoJaharo

General

By commissioning me, you agree to all of these terms. You must be 18 years or older to commission me. If you are under 18 your options are limited to what you can buy pre-made in my store. You may request something to be pre-made to be put in my store, however I make no guarantees since it is not a commission. I have the right to refuse any commission for any reason. I may update these terms at any time, and I will send a notification asking you to agree to the new terms if I've already began work on your commission.

Character Reference

I need a reference picture to work. It can be a character sheet, a picture of an animal, a colored template(if you have permission), etc. Make sure all angles are visible or I'll assume what's there! I'll only work off a written description if you give me full artistic interpretation. If you need an artist to make a sheet from your written description, talk to KiraLoup. Kira works with me so the art will be in my style. I will not work on a character that does not belong to you unless you have written permission. This includes copyrighted characters.

All work is done in my style. You character will be interpreted into my style; it will not look 100% like your character sheet. Please see my gallery for examples of my previous work.

Slots/Waiting

When I am open for commission, I will have a certain number of projects I will take on at a time. I will give you a quote, and the first to pay the deposit will have their slot confirmed. Once the slots are filled, everyone else will be put on a waiting list, and will have first priority once slots open again.

Payment

All payments are handled through Paypal. Do not send me money, I will send you an invoice once we agree upon a payment.

To confirm your slot, I require a 30% non-refundable deposit for materials. I will not begin work until I receive this deposit, and if the deposit is not paid in a timely manner, you will lose your slot to the next person on my list. This deposit is to buy materials, and is not refundable under any circumstance once materials are purchased. Items under $50 require payment in full.

Payment plans can be negotiated, but nothing will be shipped until paid in full. If you have trouble making payments, please contact me to work something out. If payments are not made and contact is not possible for 30 days, I have the right to cancel the commission without any refund.

You cannot use, nor will you receive, Glow Den Points for commissions.

Communication

Once the commission is accepted, all communication should be handled through email. I will post work in progress pictures on my account, however any official communication related to the should be through email for my records. I will also send check in emails to make sure you are happy at each stage.

Deadlines

I will give an approximation as to when your commission will be finished, however, it is not a guarantee and this can vary depending on materials on hand, shipping times, and workload, so I won't give a definite date. If you have a hard deadline, order early or let me know when you need your commission, and I will let you know if it can be done. I will not do rush orders.

Shipping

I ship through USPS unless otherwise stated. Shipping is not included with the price quote, and will be given once the commission is finished and packed. International buyers are required to pay their own customs and fees; I will not state a lower value or send as a gift. Insurance is required. Once I drop the package off at the post office, there is nothing more I can do. Any lost packages should be taken up with the carrier. This is a randomly placed phrase: If you have read my terms completely, include the word “banana” somewhere in your request for a commission slot.

Changes/Cancellations

Once a pattern has been made, I will no longer accept changes to the design. I will send a check-in email before this point.

I have the right to cancel the commission at any point for any reason, including harassment.

If an order needs to be canceled, I will give a refund except for the 30% non-refundable deposit. If I lose contact for an extreme amount of time, the commission will be canceled, and no refund will be given. You have 30 days to accept a refund before I keep the money. Whatever work is left will be finished and sold to the highest bidder. I will NOT spend time making alterations to the design. By commissioning me, you give my the right to make and sell one commission of your design/character, even if you cancel and I have to sell to someone else.

Warranty

I will fix any problems that may arise due to the workmanship for up to one year after you receive your commission at no cost. This includes popped seams, lose fur, faded airbrushing, etc. This does not include problems that arise from mistreatment, such as rips in fur not along the seam, scratched eyes, stained patches, broken hinges, ect. I can, however, repair these for a fee. Regardless of the type of repair, buyer pays for shipping both ways. I will not do work on a dirty suit. If you send me a suit that is dirty or smelly I will either send it right back (at your cost) or wash it for a fee. Any alterations made will void the warranty. Contact me before you make any alterations.

Ownership

All artists retain ownership of their work. By commissioning me, you give me the right to make and sell one costume of your character, no matter if the order is canceled and I have to sell at auction. I can post WIPs and finished pictures of your suit to my galleries as a part of my portfolio. If you want to keep the suit private, I will have to charge a 10% fee, as this hurts my portfolio. I will, however, avoid posting pictures until a certain date, if you desire to keep the suit a secret until completion/premier at a convention/ect. I have the right to keep and reuse any patterns, molds, etc I make in the process of making your costume. You may NOT enter any costume contests with my work unless given my written permission.

Liability/Allergies

I am not responsible in any way for anything that happens to you while wearing my work. I don't have any animals where I live, however, I sometimes work near canines and felines. I will vacuum your order before packaging if this is a concern for you, but ultimately it is your decision to commission me if you are allergic to any animals.
