Okay this story might be long so yeah just a warning, and I'm not the type of person to do these kinds of posts because of drama, conflict, etc. but I feel like I have to address this.

A few months ago like either June or July I got a message from this person which they asked me if I were taking requests, I said no and was only taking commissions. They responded that they wanted to commission me, I got super excited that I got my very first commission by a complete stranger and they seemed nice so I told them the payment is $11 (colored character no background meaning no landscape, objects, etc. just either white or colored) and told them I will be doing the art on Monday and will be sending them work in progress pictures.

Monday comes along and I did what I promised, doing the art and sending them the work in progress (WIP) pictures. They were loving it telling me keep up the good work, keep in mind I wanted the drawing to be perfect, no color mistakes, off shading, wobbly line art, etc. only perfection.

As time goes on I manage to finish the art work and told them I finished so I sent them my Paypal link...no response so I thought "okay they might be busy" later a week or so passes by, I started to get anxious then I sent them my paypal link again...and again no response so later I sent them a message of the finished artwork they responded immediately and said to me 'It looks amazing! have you received my payment?" I said "No I have never received your payment I will send you my paypal link again".

Then again no response and no payment, then they messaged me yesterday saying 'Oh gosh! Apparently the message I sent you didn't send' then I responded "oh? what was the message?" no response through out the entire day so at midnight I went on to look at their blog and they blocked me!

So from now on I expect to receive the payment first from a commissioner before I do any art work because of this, also fellow artists if you feel something is fishy about a commissioner follow your gut don't do the same mistake that I did.
