Okay, so it did not take as much pushing as I was expecting to get them to change the lock.

The incompetent part comes next.

They did this while I was at work, and instead of calling me they sent an email.
A facepalm is warranted here.
I am lucky that I happened to check my personal email while I was at work, which is something I very rarely do. I can only imagine the additional stress if I had gotten home and found I could not get into my own apartment and had no way of knowing how to get my keys. I assume they would have put my new keys in my mailbox, but that was still hilariously inept.

I also forgot to mention,
the cop who came to my door was shorter than me and I'm 5'2"! We have nicknamed him Officer Baggins.
