Wish Weasyl had... by FEZ
A rating thing for your friends. I HATE seeing all that damn 'sexual' stuff on the front page when I come here, even though I have that turned off and only have 'gore' being able to be visible. <.<" Makes me sick to see sexual stuff I just don't like it I don't know, I guess it falls under 'gore' or something here, I wish it didn't. I don't want to miss any submissions that might be 'gore' with blood, from friends, so I'm stuck with it being on x.x;
Anyway, again I wish Weasyl had an option were you only allowed adult stuff from users on your friends list only, and others you just watched/followed wouldn't show the gore/sexual stuff, only that stuff you'd see from friends.
Ok little rant over, XD just wanted to get that off my chest. This isn't meant for offence just me venting is all

I agree with your rant, there should be more customization for what you see from which artists!!
There are certain artists I only want their general/not sexual work and sometimes vice versa.
It's nice Weasyl already has individual follower settings, so I can cut down on how much stuff piles up as notifications, but I agree your idea would make navigating around the site a lot easier.

Oh that would be lovely, I wish this too. XD Aw sorry you do, it is unpleasant and sorry it makes you feel sick, Fezza. ^^; I don't see why it should fall under gore, I mean it likely does, you're right. I just just don't get why it does, as they're two entirely separate things. o.O But then I guess Weasyl isn't really at fault, so much as the artists who choose their tags, to which still can't fathom why they'd see smut and gore as the same, but there we go. XD
Aw sorry you're stuck with it. ^^; Sadly can't really see a solution save for turning the gore option off, which would of course mean the gorey image isn't shown, but if you turned the option on again every now and then, a gorey image if there is one, would show in friends' galleries, just wouldn't come through in notification. Sounds like a pain in the tail however, so my apologies for the lack of help and sticking my nose in without being asked to do so. ^^;
Aw not seen as a rant at all, valid opinion I think, one of the reasons I now skip the front page viewing and go straight to my notifications, no thank you smutty animals. XD But sorry you needed to vent Fezza, hope you're able to feel better real soon!
