My poor little kitty update by LavaBat
Truffles, my year old kitten/cat, isn't dead. She has a tiny puncture in her lung that will heal, and the muscles on her chest were torn away from her ribs (without causing any puncture wounds oddly enough), but she is alive. And she is coming home tonight, and needs a couple of weeks rest.
So there is probably going to be a happy ending this time.
Yays! still uncertain, but a lot more hopeful than before.

Yeah. We are thinking of turning the furn house/garden by the side of the house into a cat run.

Poor sweet cat.... If she really loves the outdoors, maybe train her to use a harness? 2 of the cats I had loved it if I walked them...
Anyway, I'm glad shes okay (knock on wood)

I hope the best for you and your beloved kitten. I hate that such a tragic event took place but it is fortuitous that she is able to walk away at all, much less with relatively minor wounds. Might I suggest making the kitty an inside cat from now on?
