Please, everyone, read this? (UPDATED) by Tygerwolfe

have good news and bad news for this update - the good news is first.

I managed to get in touch with the manufacturers of my wife's medication. They agreed to drop the price back to $14 a day after some impassioned pleading and explanation of our situation. So I don't have to worry about the cost of a month of her meds being over $500 anymore, it's back down to where it was. Thank god.

There are other complications - she has one day of medication left after today - she'll be out as of Friday morning...which is also her 34th birthday.

I wasn't able to pay the cat's payment this month - it was due today. There is now a $20 late fee on the $63 payment, and it will increase every week we're late. So while I only owe a little over $160 on him total, that can easily balloon up quickly if I can't at least get together the $83 to pay off this month.

The car payment is almost a full month behind, and I have genuine fear that we'll be sent to repossession - if not this month, then definitely next month... Even just $500 to keep us just ONE month behind would be a miracle at this point.

I've gone through three diagnostic ultrasounds for the lump on the right side of my neck, and will be getting an official result in the next couple of days, but it's fairly clear what it is. I have a tumor on my thyroid gland and I am going to have to have surgery to remove it because it's impeding my swallowing and breathing. So on top of everything else, I'm going to have throat surgery and be down in recovery for a few days where I won't be able to take care of my wife. No idea when that surgery will be yet, but it will probably be as soon as possible.

Finally, I lost my food stamp card. I will have a new one within five days, but that's five days we don't have any money for food. We got by on a $5 donation yesterday, but we haven't eaten today. We have no prospects to eat tomorrow.

And, like I said...Friday is my wife's birthday.

All she wants is to have medication so she can keep living, and to have the cat's payment made so she knows she isn't losing her therapy animal. She'd appreciate knowing we aren't going to lose the car, but...that isn't absolutely necessary. Just...enough to keep her alive and keep our cat is all she wants for her birthday, for the holidays...

All I want for the holidays is to never have to update this again.

Thank you all for all your help so far... I updated the FAQ page with recent developments.
Any donation would help - even $5 from enough people builds up.

Thank you all so much, again. My wife wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. Thank you.

UPDATE (12/15/2016): I'm now only $30 short of paying the cat's payment.

Baby steps...another $43 and I'll have the cat payment paid AND be able to get my wife another day of medication. I would really appreciate some help...

I know I'm at the end of everyone's ropes, and it's the holidays and people aren't really able to do much this time of year...but I still need help and I have no other recourse.

Thank you.
