Hello, everyone... please read this. The month has barely started and I am already scrambling. Between looking at upcoming neck surgery to remove a tumor on my thyroid and everything else building up, I'm starting to feel desperate again.

To make matters worse, the price of my wife's medication has just gone UP. From $14 a day (+ATM fees) to $20 a day (+ATM fees)! I can't...I feel so desperate now, it's insane. I have less than $2 to my name, she has two doses of medication left, her 34th birthday is in a week, and I'm staring down the barrel of surgery.

I don't know how long we're going to be able to keep this up...

Here's the breakdown of JUST her medication costs now:

1 Day - $20 + $5 ATM Fee = $25 for 1 day.

2 Days - $40 + $5 Fee = $45 for 2 days.

3 Days - $60 + $5 Fee = $65 for 3 days.

4 Days - $80 + $5 Fee = $85 for 4 days.

5 Days - $100 + $5 Fee = $105 for 5 days.

6 Days - $120 + $5 Fee = $125 for 6 days.

1 Week - $140 + $5 Fee = $145 for 1 week.

1 Month - $560 + $5 Fee = $565 a month.

Keep in mind the fees are per withdrawal so if I don't have the full amount for a week or month at one time, it ends up being even more expensive because there's a $5 fee on EACH individual withdrawal.

Her meds now cost, on the LOW end, more than our car payment. I just made myself sick typing this out...God help us, what are we going to do?

She'll be out of medication tonight as of bedtime.

There's a $10 bill due on the 13th. The cat's payment is due on the 14th. The good news is that James is almost paid off - if we can make his payment another three of four months, that payment goes away for good and we'll have crawled that much farther out of debt.

But it's my wife's medication that has me feeling desperate today.

We're just in such a desperate position...and with my wife's birthday a week away, and the holidays less than a week after, I just...it's so hard to feel hopeful this time of the year.

You've all been so wonderful and I thank you so much for your help. We aren't going to give up, no matter how desperate it gets. But we need help, hope, and light - this time of year more than any other. So if you can help...please do. If you're looking for someone's season to make a little brighter, please consider us.

I don't know what will happen if my wife has another TIA or stroke...she could easily die. But I can't make myself look at that possibility. I have to keep moving forward, keep my eyes on hope. But I need your help.
