Just a question about the RFID chip by Ivikk

What do you think about it?

Do you think it's too much? Is it going over your privacy limits?

I'm a christian so I pretty much see it as "the number of the beast" though I'm not sure who the "beast" is and most say Obama is the beast (which I won't really believe).

Well, it's not only that. It also goes over my privacy limits.

Well, we got the credit card which works as "virtual money", health insurance cards for the health stuff (not so important in Faroe Islands :P).

Well, the US Government knows who's not gonna take the chip and that's christians and terrorists which can cause a problem.

Some say we will end up in slavery (The Beast! duh! :P ).

Excluding my christian opinion: It goes over my privacy limits and I really love nature and I don't trust technology completely and that technology is the way for humanity to go to "evolve". Post-humanism sounds cool but nah...

I don't like being monitored constantly. I like my personal space physically, mentally and digitally.

With christian opinion: YOU FOOLS! IT'S NUMBER OF THE BEAST! (well, not really like that but it is the number of the beast)

EDIT: The RFID chip I'm talking about is the chip that has to be implanted in the right hand or forehead on humans. Just so you know. :P

sorry, what RFID chip are you talking about?

the RFID chips that have to be implanted in the right hand or in the forehead. I should probably declare it better in the journal :/

as far as I know, there is no such thing. closest thing would be chips that diabetics can implant in themselves to monitor their blood sugar (so that they don't have to prick their fingers all the time).

there is absolutely no requirement for anyone to be implanted with a chip--and no purpose for it, either. I dunno where you heard this, but it's just a rumor.

          Maybe I'm just too paranoid?

I would relax until someone you personally know (who doesn't have diabetes) ends up with a chip inside him for some reason.

There can be privacy concerns with the RFID chips, but I don't think there's any reason to assume it's something anti-Christian. That's REALLY stretching it to call it the "mark of the beast." Some people like to twist their religion to support their political party. I think that's what's going on when you hear people talk about that.

I don't support any political party. But maybe I'm just to paranoid about it. I don't know.

BTW, the health care bill does NOT require U.S. residents to be implanted with RFID chips: http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/microchip.asp

Oh... Okay... That does explain a bit
