An AD21XX Update by Huntermun

For anyone questioning the existence of Adaptation 21XX, fear not. It does exist, and so do I. Some of you may have heard my intention to get an Alpha out to be played on September 3rd—by my Birthday—but that is a deadline I failed to reach for a number of reasons…

Reasons like: I got sick for a week about two weeks ago; then the G, T, 5, and F5 keys on my keyboard all stopped working; then I had to pack up and drive back to Columbia over a weekend; and that doesn’t even include the Mind’s Eye Society-related stress I’ve been forced to deal with for weeks on end now; making rent on time; or signing a new lease for a year. All in all, a bunch of crap, and it all weighed me down.

And luckily that’s all mostly behind me now, save for the occasional cough, a crappy $10 replacement keyboard from Wal-Mart, and the MES stuff isn’t yet resolved. Point being, as of today, I am back on the clock… and I’m not sure where my new deadline is, but I’m back to working. Making a game isn’t new to me, but making one this big is, and it’s taken me far longer than expected just to get something playable for everyone by now.

But I had great momentum up until two weeks ago, and I hope that returns. This message here is for my social media as not a lot of you follow my progress just yet, so maybe when you read back through time you’ll see this… or maybe seeing this message on someone else’s Feed will get you interested.

In any event, I’ve got the Prologue done and I’m aiming to have at least half of Chapter One completed for AD21XX’s Alpha. Then, I can start getting feedback and make a better product. Maybe you all will even feel up to helping fund the project. I wish you all the best, and Happy Birthday to me.
