I finally made a banner for my page. Nothing super fancy, but its nice to finally have one. Today has been really productive! Which is good because tomorrow is a day off! I going to head home and then I am going to a concert in the evening! Chevelle has been my favorite band for about 7 years now, and I am going to get to see them preform for a second time! I saw them once before at Carolina Rebellion a year and a half ago, but they only had a 30 minute set :( this time it will be a full hour+
I am very super pumped! And I am no longer sore from jumping around at the Slipknot concert last week!
Still have a couple spots left in the free YCH: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/1345128/free-ych-warrior
ah man, that sucks. Got Burned is definitely my favorite new one.
And the show was great! I was surprised that they only played 3 songs from the new album and that the show was dominated by their older stuff. It was all awesome anyway :D
They did play Send the Pain Below. Not Well Enough Alone though, I Get It was the only song from their Vena Sera album they played. I think my favourite that they played was Hats Off to the Bull, it was fantastic live
I actually really wanna see them live on stage. They're one of 3 bands I need to see before I die
The other 2 are the foo fighters and green day
Not a bad line up of bands! I would like to see foo fighters. I, surprisingly, don't know too much by Green Day. They are one of those bands that I always intend to listen to, but then end up forgetting. My top 3 are Chevelle, 10 Years and Evans Blue. Right now Evans Blue is the only one left on the list to go see!
I have so many I can't list XD. Green Day just happens to be a really special one for me as...when it came to me learning music I always learned their songs first.
Do you play an instrument or sing at all? I always wanted to learn to play an instrument but when forced to choose between band or art&languages in school, I picked art :/
Both actually :D. Guitar and sax plus my own voice. Never took art in school even though I always asked for it. I managed to learn on my own at least. Self-taught and proud BD
oh wow! I actually keep encountering sax players! Its kinda funny how often it happens. what kind do you play? My best friend plays a bari~
tbh I never found school art courses to be that helpful. It seems most of the people I meet are self taught, at least for the first few years. I wonder if there is just something about art that requires a level of self teaching? I use a lot of online tutorials. there is some good stuff out there. My favourite was a video on how to do figure drawing quickly, I wish I could still find it. But yah, online resources is how I ended up doing the YCH stuff too. I do pose practice using some websites that are helpful.
