Still here! by Lurigo

Damn, what the hell happened?

Anyways, for those of you who wondered where I went, I'm still here actually. Apologies for not being as active as usual, and not uploading any new art in the last few weeks. Lately it's just been chaotic. Wake up, go to university from 7AM to 5PM, come home, recover from the long day, do homework and other things around the house AND try to get enough sleep. Regrettably, drawing isn't present in that list. The closest to drawing I've gotten is the scribbles in my physics book. It sucks, being so busy and not getting to do the things you actually love.

Weekends aren't all that much better either. Most of the weekend is spent on these stupidly complicated math assignments we get EVERY week. Then there's usually another assignment from the most annoying and time consuming subject ever, so-called "Professional Practice", also known as FIAP. These assignments are usually composed of silly tasks assessed according to the most unforgiving standards. The lecturer is a sadistic bastard and never shuts up about something he likes to call the "Go/No-go" principle. Then when someone asks why, he uses the excuse of not wanting to use a 80% bridge. Dude, I'm an electronic engineer, I don't build bridges!!

But enough ranting, you guys probably wanna hear some good, positive news from me, right? Well, there actually is good news! First off, autumn recess is coming up in a little more than a week! So what does that mean? No, not constant studying for the semester exam! I hope at least... No, it means I'll get a little time to draw again! Hopefully I'm not too rusty then, and people can leave me alone long enough to let me draw something nice.

That also brings me to my next piece of good news. PayPal... I haz it! :3 So that means the Lurigo is open for commissions! Well, not right NOW, but I'll open a few slots sometime this week, so I can work on 'em during my break. Unfortunately, this also means I won't be taking requests no more. (NOTE: I will still finish the one I already had) Since it would only be unfair to commissioners. Sorry, but that's how things work.

Onwards! I would like to say thank you to all of you who left a happy birthday message for me! I really loved getting them! Made my (un)eventful birthday much better. The reason I say that, is I had to write a horrible math test that day. Not exactly good for optimism. Though, the rest of the day was fine. My most hated class miraculously didn't involve any homework, the other classes wasn't so bad and my friend gave me an awesome pencil set as a present! But, it is important to note, I almost didn't have any of that. On my way to university that morning, I had a close brush with death. Some irresponsible driver skipped a stop sign and almost smashed into the passenger side of our pickup, the side where I was sitting. If my dad hadn't slammed the brakes, I may not have been here to type this. The car literally missed ours by two inches! Haven't had such a huge fright in a long time! But yeah, I'm just happy to not have had to end up in a hospital, or a morgue!

Oh! And I finally got the game I've been waiting for for quite a few months... Black Mesa!! And I can safely say, it was worth the wait! This game/mod is an absolute work of art!! It stays faithful to the the original Half-Life, even with the few additions and adjustments that the devs added. The weapons look amazing, and sound much more dangerous than before! The slight changes they added makes the game unpredictable to those who know the old game inside out, like me, which makes this feel like a whole new game. I really like that! Only played it a little bit, should get more time during the above mentioned break.

But yeah, I have stuff to get to now. Inactivity should end on precisely 21 March! But until then, wish me luck! Still have a physics test coming up...

See you guys later!

Still here!
