WELL this is embarrassing! (Delays explained) by thatlittlegoblin

So I mentioned briefly on my twitter I had delays due to health reasons and since I'm now re-injured I'm just gonna post here exactly why it's taken so long for me to finish up my queue:

Our 8.5 month old son is heavy af lol

If you have no experience with babies, let me tell you: they are strong, quick, and very much a reminder that we are primates. Since they lack language skills they communicate by any other means (crying, throwing tantrums, laughing, babbling, reaching for/grabbing at things) including THROWING THEIR WHOLE WEIGHT in a direction suddenly because reasons.

Rowan weighs around 22lbs and is now incredibly mobile and difficult to handle because he is incapable of being reasoned with so I have sprained BOTH wrists twice now, pulled muscles in my back, shoulders, and abdomen, have random bruises, random muscle aches from basically weightlifting our child who (while is in his normal growth range) weighs about as much as some 1yo's. I'm told he's healthy and normal but

Holy fuck he's grown super heavy super fast and my body is paying the price lmao

Work is slow! For that I am sorry. Later today I will be messaging those three folks still on my queue to touch base, I just wanted to give a general update as to why I look like I've been MMA fighting.

But seriously I'm sorry you're so bruised up!!! I hope Rowan gets better at throwing his weight around in ways other than literally as he grows!

It's OK!! I like to think of it as he's physically forcing me to get stronger. Although I can't wait til he can walk on his own because OOF rip my back :')

      • Link

When he can walk please get him a little Juggernaut outfit

  • Link

Sounds like every little rascal I've ever had to deal with. Entirely unreasonable and ungentlemanlike of him, really beating up on your mother? For shame young man. Ah well, we'll learn you the ways of a proper sir soon enough. Now play nice Mr. Muscles.

On a more serious note, be careful there Lil, your health and his are the most important things. Aside from sir husbando of course. XD

He knows what "please" and "no" mean so far! But those are pretty much the same thing haha (we say them to get him to stop doing something)

He's seriously strong! Which makes me happy but GEEZE

Did you accidentally give your baby steroids or something? I hope you feel better soon.

    • Link

I wish I had some explanation like that but nah, though now that he's crawling everywhere his growth should slow a bit! Kid is seriously bigger than our friends' 2yo no joke

  • Link

Why do I picture your son growing big fast, like Hagrid, and picking you up on and putting your somewhere where you can't bother him? xD

    • Link

He's learning how to pull himself to standing & is nearly half my height pls hlp

  • Link

Oh jeeze you poor thing, Be safe motherbear. :3

JFC put some bricks on his head otherwise he's gonna be taller than you by kindergart--

NO WAIT IT WAS ME, I RUBBED OFF ON HIM AND NOW THE BIG PANTHER GENES ARE IN HIS BLOOD MUAHAHA >:3

    • Link

Believe it or not, all 12 of my mother's brothers were 6'4"+
Cam is 6'2" and kibda avg for his dad's side

I'm reminded of my friend's baby. He expresses displeasure in a very peculiar way that involves running as fast as he can, and headbutting as hard as he can into her cooch and laughing as she bends over in pain and distress. I am hoping Rowan doesn't develop a similar habbit.

He can't quite walk yet, and I rly hope when he gets to that point he doesn't suddenly decide my pain is funny. ATM he dislikes "OW" noises/is startled or uoset by them so

      HOLDIN OUT HOPE
