Ralph Stanley has Passed Away by BlueStreak

I'm not sure how many of you are bluegrass people, much less music people, but I'm guessing at least a few of you have seen O Brother, Where Art Thou. If you have, then you've heard Ralph Stanley; he sings the chilling version of "Oh Death" featured in the film. But outside of that, in the music world, Stanley was a giant. He made up half of the Stanley Brothers, who along with Bill Monroe helped form what is now bluegrass music. After his brother Carter died unexpectedly in 1966, many thought Ralph's career would be over. But he persevered, putting out several phenomenal records that helped further shape bluegrass music as we know it.

To answer the question posed by this particular recording, featuring the late Keith Whitley singing lead, yes, he will be greatly missed.
