Hello, Visitors!

Weasyl's pretty neat. It has a search that works, a nice layout that looks hip and modern, and admins who know what they're doing. In my time here on Weasyl, I've grown to enjoy the site and what it has to offer. The new SFW mode for viewing is a great feature from an otherwise not-so-great site that I am happy to see here. The format looks clean, isn't too blinding or straining, and just... works. I haven't had much contact with the staff, but the little amount I have has been punctual and helpful. Cool peeps up in here.

Why am I making this post?

Well, I think actually doing something more than just lurking or creeping would help. As I hear, Weasyl isn't being seen as an active alternative to the Furbunny or Inkaffinity sites around. Users aren't getting on, they aren't staying on, and they aren't interacting. I'm going to try to change that.

I've never kept a blog or anything. I don't like talking about myself or to other people. This is going to be both. Maybe a way to contribute to the possible future prosperity of Weasyl. I don't know. Does one person logging on to type up a short little thing and maybe throw in a few links to image submissions he liked make any bit of difference on what people thing of Weasyl? Probably not. Does it make me feel better and possibly help with my problems of self-expression? I'd like to think that I'm at least helping myself.

Doesn't matter. No more feely stuff. I matter plenty.

Aaaaaaaanyway, I'm gonna try to make these fairly often. It's called a journal so I'm going to use it as one. Unlike any journal I'd keep IRL, this one will be completely public, though. I don't care who sees. It's not like I'm going to confess to any murders here. It'll just be my little place to type and not worry about anything. Since Weasyl is a public forum and I'm cool with all my non-existent followers seeing my stuff, I've got to ask... Why are you on Weasyl? I want to hear whatever answer you've got. Why have you made an account on Weasyl and why are you still here?

I guess that wraps this up. Once I figure out how this site works, I'll probably start doing some spotlights of neat art I find. Hopefully I will be finding some. If I'm using the site more, I've got to be finding submissions I like.
