Lately I've kinda retreated back to my usual "Browse stuff, but don't upload anything" presence on this site. It really pains me to do that, but I haven't gleefully drawn anything in weeks. I want to say that school's the issue, but it's really only a single class. Art class, ironically enough.

My second semester here, I got moved from my original Draw/Paint class into an AP Studio class, in which I am supposed to present a portfolio at the end of the year containing 12 pieces corresponding to a theme I select. This dreary grind of churning out work has pretty much left me with little to no time to work on requests or even any personal, non-school-related art, as well as making the putting of pencil on paper about as pleasing as inserting said pencil into my eye socket and twirling it around a bit.

I just needed to write something like this because the situation has really been getting me down for weeks now. I'm really disappointed that I still haven't been able to fulfill my outstanding requests, but I'm not sure what to do at this point short of temporarily closing the form until I can actually find the time and motivation to draw again. Ideally, that should come about the end of the school year in May, should I find myself unable to sufficiently appease the AP Monster in the meantime.

Well, off to ink some images I'll probably burn once the semester's over. Peace out.
