Another angel went to heaven January 21 2016; my father.

He was scheduled to go in for knee replacement surgery that very same day. There were no complications with the surgery, he came out fine and he even got up to test out his knee. It turned out to be too much and he laid back down.

The doctors gave him a pain medication called dilaudid, which can slow or stop your breathing. This medication is known to cause addiction, overdose, and death. It is not meant for people who have severe asthma or breathing problems or breathing problems; a blockage in the stomach or intestines; or a bowel obstruction. In my father's case, he had breathing problems, mainly sleep apnea.

I was at home and my grandmother and his fiancee where up at the hospital with him. None of the doctors were notified of his sleep apnea.

Very shortly after the pain medication was administered, Daddy started gasping for breath and then stopped. They tried for an hour to bring him back, but failed.

I still find it hard to believe that he's gone; I still feel like he's still here.
