Greetings Weasyl!

I hope everyone had a good holiday break. I finally have the time to type up a new journal since last week I felt overwhelmed with work. You know how that goes when you leave for vacation then return with a lot to do. I will say that my vacation was well worth it! I could tell you how it all went but I think I would be here too long, haha.

I will give you a short rundown of my trip to save you. :P

First week I visited some family in Nayarit, Mexico then Denryuu showed up. TOTALLY GOT EXCITED BECAUSE OF THAT. YUS YUS YUS. Of course after a couple days we went onto the next leg of our adventure. My mom, myself and Denryuu went to Puebla!

A new place that I didn't think I would get to know. Puebla was pretty- it felt so different yet still serene. Here, our true adventure began. We visited Cholula. We got to see a pyramid (I forgot the name ^^;) but after that we saw a cathedral. This was on the 30th of December, by the way.

The following day (December 31st) we went to look at the forts. These were called Forts Loreto and Guadalupe. This day we traveled around looking for talavera. Quite unique pottery I must say. We have had heard of how beautiful it was and I wasn't disappointed. Next we pretty much rested after having gone to a marketplace. Denryuu and I stayed up to celebrate the new year (he ended up sleeping shortly after midnight, that loser. <3)

The new year welcomed us with open arms as we woke up kind of late. We didn't do much though as we wanted to rest. That was a relief. :lmao: We had a couple more days left in Puebla before we took off to Cancun. Our adventure had been awesome but there was still the best part at the end!

(Oh yeah Denryuu also pleaded to me that I play Undertale and I did.)

The last leg of the vacation/adventure finally arrives, YES!
The first night we get there, all three of us were exhausted as hell. Not sure how we managed that but we did it in stride. :salute:

On the 5th of January, we went to Isla Mujeres. At this point, Denryuu's mother joined us also. It was nice to see her again, hehe. All four of us went on the boat ride to the island as it was part of the tour we chose. It just so happened to also be raining but not that much thankfully. Overall the tour was amazing. I wouldn't mind doing this again.

Unfortunately his mother left the next day due to a family member passing. We understood her reasons for leaving, though we tried to tell her that she should stay but alas that didn't work out. Later in the day, we went to visit the beach. It wasn't the most biggest one but it was still fun. At first I didn't want to get in the water since it was sort of windy. Obsidian (I call Denryuu that. :P) was like "Come on! The water is great!" Yeah yeah it took me a bit but I got in. Sure enough it wasn't too awfully bad. My mom didn't want to go in the ocean though. We didn't stay that long at the beach but least I swam in it!

We did some swimming too. I forgot to mention this. Whoops.
We swam in the pool back in Puebla and it was an indoor pool. That was great as the water was just right. Anyway we also swam at the hotel in Cancun but... this one was outside and wasn't too great at first.

On the 7th of January we took a bus tour that took us to Chichen Itza. OH MY GOSH THIS WAS SO FREAKING EXCITING. I GOT TO SEE ONE OF THE WONDERS OF THE WORLD Y'KNOW. WITH MY OWN EYES.

Okay so the bus ride there to the site was nice. The tour guide folk were very kind and pretty amusing too. So once we got there, we got off the bus we were given a tour guide after we all entered the place. The lady led the way and I must say I was in awestruck. The Mayan pyramids were amazing despite how they appeared: worn down from time.

This day was dedicated to seeing the site and also after we finished this part of the tour we were taken to a place called Valladolid. There we ate at a restaurant called La Casona. We stopped here for about an hour. We already had been out for several hours by the time we were eating. Just before we returned to Cancun we stopped to see Zaci, a cenote. In the evening we finally get dropped off nearby the hotel we were staying in.

On the 8th of January we went to a Mayan museum. Plenty of artifacts and lots of knowledge was presented. It took us a while to read, haha. This was basically all that we did as we were aiming to have rest.

The following day, the 9th of January, we went to the marketplace then back to Isla Mujeres. We bought a couple things there. Resting took place after we returned, as usual.

Ah the last day, the 10th of January, we parted ways. This was the most not amused part of the vacation but alas it had to be done. Obsidian left super early in the morning no less. :(

Later on my mom and I also left too and so... we eventually arrived to our house back in the USA on Monday the 11th of January.

Well that's pretty much what happened while I was gone.
