A young adult gryphon, Skyler stands at 6'7" and is a member of a nomadic clan of gryphons that stay in the mountains of the world as they travel. Unaffiliated to any of the lords of the land, the clan is reclusive and shuns contact with outsiders.

Gifted with potent wind magic, Skyler dreams of leaving his clan behind and going on adventures to dark places and bringing home incredible treasures. He has no experience with actual weaponry, but his claws and fangs more than make up for it.

Unlike others in his tribe, Skyler is naive and trusting. He holds in his heart the belief that within everyone is the capacity for good and that it can only be found in trusting and believing in others. Though he is far more open to outsiders than most of his clan, he is still afraid of unfamiliar technology such as the recently created flintlock pistols that the humans in his world now carry with them.
