This is Marcus. I created him back in 2007 for the sole purpose of using him in an OCT, in which I had my ass properly handed to me in the very first round. Thankfully, I, along with several others, enjoyed Marcus so much that he kind of stuck around. He's since become one of my own personal favorites. I plan on using him in a comic story someday.

He hasn't strayed much from his initial design, though I've accentuated his shark-like features and gave him an actual build instead of drawing him like a wet noodle. He's got some definition, as Sharkats are naturally muscular, but I imagine Marcus isn't quite as tone compared to other members of his species, due to living in captivity (and eating large amounts of junk food).

Since someone will inevitably ask: no, he's not a cross-breed between a cat and a shark; he's entirely his own species. The term "sharkat" was the portmanteau nickname given to him by the humans due to the fins on the head being shaped like cats' ears.

His frenzied state is triggered by the scent of blood, but because he's been raised in captivity and not yet reached full maturity, he's far, far less aggressive prone to frenzy than other, wild male sharkats. However, Marcus is more likely to go into such a state if he's gone without eating for a prolonged period of time (3 to 5 days or longer).
