He is a freshman in college, studying to be a high school Language Arts teacher. He has next to no physical strength, though he makes up for that in intelligence. His favorite passtimes are reading and learning, sharing his knowledge, writing(poetry especially), painting, sculpting, and generally being creative. He loves to read so much, he's been known to thumb through encyclopedias for pleasure. Claude is a serious neat freak, almost to the point of OCD. He has a strong distaste for dirt, disorder, and insects, and a love for organization. He has a tendency to come off as cold and withdrawn, but he's actually rather friendly, though somewhat serious. He usually has his nose in a book, so he doesn't really notice when someone talks to him. A smile from him is a rather rare thing. Confident in his knowledge, he can get quite grumpy if someone tells him he's wrong and he has an annoying habit of correcting others' grammar.

Claude's mother is Charlotte Renwick, a Cape Dog from whom Claude gets his creative side. She is a sweet, but strict woman who makes sure her children do their best.

Claude's father, Burnard Renwick, is a business man who is too serious even for Claude. He disapproves of his son's decision to be a teacher, wanting him instead to take over the family business. As uptight and controlling as he is, however, he really only wants his children to be the best the possibly can, even if it means they won't be entirely happy.
