D is a swordsmaster by trade, and a regular traveller. He's rather quiet, although he does like being round people...good people. He likes to help and protect people, as it's in his good nature that no one shall be in danger. The reason he wears a mask is only kept by him.

His only known relative is his half-brother, Lyser, who he gets on well with despite not seeing each other for several years.
