Locria is an arcane phoenix gryphon, and a deity of sorts in the same universe as Caer and my yet to be drawn character, Xoatl.

She is one of the few beings responsible for bestowing the power of magic use upon students of arcana, and is thus a very important figure in the wizarding world. While she is given the choice of who may possess these potentially destructive powers, she makes her judgment only on the basis of potential for greatness. Her decisions do not take into account the morals or agenda of those she blesses with incredible energies. Locria's guidance has been highly prized by wizards and magi for ages; many seek her counsel and wisdom.

Her status as a completely neutral figure does not mean she is without enemies. Over the years, many brash clans of wizards have attempted to ambush and force her into granting great powers. All have failed. Her particular brand of spell casting includes magic from all schools, and she unleashes them effortlessly, and in great succession with the skill of a grand magus.
