As a member of the Shiconda tribe of the Alola region, Akilah had been chosen at birth to become a spiritual vanguard for its rainforests; duty-bound to protect their wildlife upon reaching 15 years of age. She had spent countless days relentlessly training until the rite of passage had finally come; having to hunt a immense Rampardos that had been terrorizing the tribe’s village at the time with its frequent rampages. Despite fracturing her ribs and rupturing several organs after narrowly avoiding one of its Head Smashes, she would eventually manage to slay the beast and save her village.

During her adulthood, with her vast knowledge of the many Alolan rainforests, she would enlist to become a ranger; leading numerous tours and expeditions for tourists and explorers alike. Her physical prowess had yet to wane, as she can subdue even the most ruthless of criminal poachers and loggers. However, many of the perilous encounters she had to face (Both wildlife and organized crime), has resulted in constant injuries; some even life-threatening. Later on, with her injuries starting to catch up, one of her close acquaintances from within the ranger division offered to substitute for her position in order for her start her recovery. She would then move into Karma’s neighborhood with his help along with Rigel’s.

While Akilah struggles to understand much of the modern world outside of the rainforest, she always looks out to assist anyone in need, no matter how big or small the task may be. Despite having a formidably stern and hardened disposition at first glance, she is quite jovial towards those she befriends. Her physicality is certainly not to be trifled with (As well as being somewhat unwieldy); her long, powerful tail being capable of crushing steel beams with a single squeeze as if they were cardboard! However, rumor has it that with everyone being overly fearful of her affection because of her stature as an anaconda, she secretly longs to use it as a means of creating a secure hug to comfort the lonely and/or saddened.
