Venezio was originally created by Mr. Buddy [https://twitter.com/MrShyGuyBuddy] for 'What If Italy Were A Pokemon Region’ [https://youtu.be/ykXbM26iLmo]. His role in the Etarberec game changed to fit the setting better.
Venezio was originally arranged to marry Ryoko but due to Suika's fallout with his parents, the marriage was called off. At that time, he spent two years in America alongside Ryoko and Ichigo. Though Ryoko and Venezio both hated each other at first (Ryoko still does or at least doesn't remember a positive experience with Venezio), Venezio grew to love Ryoko when she cared for him (and Ichigo) during his time suffering through two illnesses at once.
Venezio used to love collecting bugs, rodents, lizards and snakes at this time despite being a teenager when he left.
Despite saying he bears the most ill-will towards Suika, the only healthy positive relationship he had with any Kuwabara sibling happens to be Ichigo.
Venezio proclaims himself to be a Jack-of-All-Trades type of guy, though he seems to excel primarily in theater, music, and other fine arts while struggling with technical engineering, cooking, and forensic work. His goals outside of being a Demon Tamer and being Ryoko's husband happen to be growing into a role of a Renaissance man like the men he admires, and will try to hone the skills of the latter talents when no one is looking.
