Edelweiss is loosely based off John Carpenter's ‘The Thing’. She is primarily nocturnal and can reproduce with humans albeit through a peculiar and alien means. She can only communicate verbally through honks and screeches much like a dinosaur would. Her tongue is more like the vampires from 'The Strain’ in that it can extend and also comes with a pair of jaws that can capture prey. Her third pair of jaws (or a pouch) are at her abdomen area and while hinted to be a second digestive system that can digest humans also doubles as a reproductive system that can either collect human (or alien) sperm and fertilize eggs through her ‘tentacles’ or double as a penis and fertilize human females. Regardless, the abdomen can be seen as an intimate spot for Edelweiss and shouldn't be touched. Edelweiss has acid spit but she can manipulate the acidity to be safe for humans (which can be said her mouth would taste like a citrus when she does this).
Edelweiss is an obligate carnivore and needs to eat meat to survive. She hasn't tasted any meat outside of marine life or human flesh. She wouldn't know how to hunt most other land mammals. She has observed that everyone else is an omnivore though and is curious about plants and why they are edible to humans.
