Nightmare has been conked over the head so many times over the course of his superhero career, he has lost count. All of those concussions caused him to develop multiple personality disorder in the form of Sparkleglitter the Unicorn. When Nightmare goes to sleep, Sparkleglitter wakes up and goes bar-hopping until Nightmare takes over again in the morning. She uses a bag of flour, some throw pillows, an ice cream cone, and some string to give herself that signature unicorn appearance. Nightmare attributes his morning migraines to his battered noggin, when in actuality, he suffers daily hangovers.

Sparkleglitter found a life of her own when a super villain hit Nightmare with an Atom Discombobulator. She separated from Nightmare's consciousness, complete with her own body. They assumed that they were each other's long lost siblings. Nightmare took the role of protective brother, keeping an eye on his alcoholic, whorish sister.

Sparkleglitter is the epitome of all Southern Belles. Her reputation as a slut and alcoholic all but cement that stereotype. Her clothes are just strips of fabric, and she cakes on far too much makeup.
