The Demon of the Jungle
(My dragonsona and main character~)

Sanity is a rare albino sailfin dragon, who for their striking coloration was known by local sailfin tribes as the "demon of the jungle". In reality, a secret child of the tribe's shaman(Phagus), they were used as a sham to trick the tribe into false worship and fear. In the night, Sanity would dash through the trees screeching and was said to steal their precious eggs if they did not appease their gods.

Background Summary

Sanity was born under quite negative circumstances. Their father, Phagus, as shaman of the Sailfin tribe was not by any means allowed a mate or his own hatchling. Regardless, they were born to Phagus and mother the late Calluna who was murdered by their father due to the birth.

Being born with albinism, having white translucent skin and bright red eyes, they were viewed as a demon by Phagus as an outcome of his sin. This did not play well for Sanity, being raised to believe they were in fact this demon, screaming and running through the night terrifying the tribes dragons. Phagus used this to incite fear; having them give up offerings to appease this demon, feeding it their precious unhatched eggs.

This would only come to an end after the invasion of the bliztrot soldiers from the Iron Empire. Their leader, Rationlle having stumbled upon Sanity while exploring a cave, was not ready for the surprise of Sanity tackling him from above covered in blue glow worm guts they painted on themself like stripes. Yet this did end in Sanity’s unwanted capture.

From their Sanity is taken by Rationelle, who reveals them to the Sailfins as having been captured, to which they freak out and scatter into the jungle, along with Phagus who disappears mysteriously and is never seen by them again. With that, Sanity is taken away to the kingdom of the Iron Empire, where they are more or less Rationelle’s “pet”. Sanity being a stubborn geck, does not take kindly to this. This results in Sanity doing whatever they possibly can to make Rationelle’s life miserable, especially by not giving up the title of “demon of the jungle”.

This dynamic settles over time and Rationelle grows fond of the little devil, eventually letting his guard down and viewing Sanity as an equal. Sanity and Rationelle accepted each other as mates in time, and created Perma, Rime, and Loco. This happiness is short lived with Rationelle’s second in command Goldfire, who takes it upon himself to destroy Sanity. His love for Rationlle could not accept some outsider as Nelle’s mate, especially when it should be himself. In that he tormented Sanity and tried to break them.. This would go on for years.. resulting in the birth of Frenzy. A stop was finally made to this when Sanity’s daughter Loco overhears this and tells Rationelle that Goldfire was hurting Sanity.

Goldfire is then stripped of his rank and banished to the jungle, where they left him to the cannibalistic tribes and vicious animals and never saw him again.( of course Goldy’s story doesn’t end there..) After that is all said and done with, Sanity could finally be at peace with their mate and children. They settled down in their portion of the castle and lives with all of that in the past.
