Samm Jannson was a young, 15 years old kid, who lived on an town located at the coast, in a fantasy land different from our world. Besides being a student at a Magic Academy, he was also the son of the dungeon keeper, and heir of a large line of keepers who have guarded it. Although his father wished him to succeed him as the guardian of the dungeon, he always dreamed of traveling around the world outside the walls of the town, and hated the fact that he would probably have to stay and guard the dungeon the rest of his life. He wished to be a great wizard, but despite he had a great affinity with water magic, he always got distracted very easily, not mentioning he was also very clumsy, often causing accidents with wrong magic spells which made him get low qualifications, as well to got onto more than a trouble, leading to many of the people in the academy to not take him seriously. He also tended to skip classes at times and tended to wonder around the town outside, sometimes trying to impress girls with his failed magic, only to end in ridicule.

One day, a new kid came to his class...a transfer student called Jaakob. Despite Jaakob was more introvert and geeky the two of them got to known more each other, they became unseparable friends in just a matter of weeks.

The final exams at the Academy were just next door...and Samm was still not fully ready for those. He knew that he would might get expelled from the Academy if he failed the exam again ...he tried to think on a way to not fail the test, but there was no way he could study so many things in just two days. He tried to ask Jaakob for help. Jaakob told him that he couldnt help him to learn everything in such a short time. However, he told told him a legendary book which was kept inside the dungeon and which would help him. Samm didn't wanted to betray the rules established by the keepers, but also he didn't wanted to dissapoint his father and getting expelled. So, in a moment of despair, he decided to venture himself onto the dungeon and after finally finding the book, he left the place, and promised to himself that he would put it back onto it's original place just after he finished using it to study.

However, Jaakob betrayed him by stealing the book he brought with him and revealing that he setted everything up so he could obtain the book for himself. Samm, feeling betrayed, confronted his friend...however, Jaakob was far superior than Samm, and trying to get rid of him , he opened the book and casted a spell on him, thinking it would dissintegrate him onto a pile of dust. It seemed like this happened, as he escaped, with a sad expression on his face.

However, he did not dissintegrate as Jaakob tought. Sam felt like he was smaller, and unable to understand, he just escaped from the place and jumped to a nearby pond outside the building...It didn't took much time for Samm to realize that he became a talking frog. Though shocked of what he was now, he knew there were many worse things than any of that now: Jaakob, the person who he trusted more in the world, had just betrayed him and turned him onto that hideous thing. One of the world's most dangerous magic artifacts was on his hands, and only god knew what he was planning to do with it. Samm went deeper onto the dark forest away from the town and the Academy. Knowing that he knew he had to prove his father's innocence, get the book back and stop Jaakob and whoever was pulling the strings of these events, he trained in the woods for a month and half (with the help of a mysterious figure he met inside) and finally decided to venture to the outside world and start his adventure.
