Jiro is an ant who became the victim of a parasitic fungus intent on controlling his body. Despite the obvious concerns that this condition raises, Jiro doesn’t actually seem to mind it.
Of course, maybe that’s just the mushroom talking...
• Occasionally, Jiro will use “we” instead of “I”. This seems to be almost involuntary.
• The fungus doesn’t currently seem contagious. Jiro explains “he’s happy where he is, there’s no need to spread”.
• Behavioral changes Jiro has experienced as a result seem to be mostly positive. At least, his coworkers seem to notice he’s happier...
