Details: Sean was born to Kazue, a no-nonsense stay-at-home mother, and James Utano, a blunt nuclear technician. He had a great childhood with little problems... until high school when Sean realized he was gay. He came out to his parents in 1995; while his parents (mostly Kazue) were surprised, they accepted him immediately. Then he adopted Lynx, and things were peaceful until August 2004. That time he got fired allegedly for attending a pride event. Thankfully, Sean got another job, but then he and Lynx had to move to Portland later. And this whole time, Sean had been single until mid-to-late-2011 when he met the love of his life- David Yoshida. David had a son named Akira who had the exact same birthday as Lynx. And then Sean and David moved in together in April 2012, and things have been peaceful since.

Sean likes Eurovision, red wine, his kids, and David. He doesn't like people being homophobic or dealing with stupid bullshit.

Like his mother, Sean has a no-nonsense attitude, especially when it comes to people shit-talking him and the LBGTQ+ community. Other than that, he's generally a funny and nice person who loves and cares about those closest to him.
