When they were kids he and his friend Brian Sterling would would constantly watch wrestling matches at his place. They were so into it they would, at times, imitate the things they saw (rarely to the point of injury, but that didn't stop them). By the 10th grade they started doing high school and amateur wrestling and showed they have a natural talent for the art. By the time they graduated, their relationship became something more. In college, word of their closeness spread. Brian tries to deny or ignore the gossipers while Calvin would push away harassers if things go too far. During spring break on the way home from a picnic, a few well-known bullies of theirs ram them off the road and caused an accident. Calvin miraculously survived, but Brian didn't. The loss of his other half put him in a depression that he dropped out of college. It took a while, but eventually he recovered. And when he heard about Santa Azul being a fighter haven, he decided to move there from Milwaukee and restart his college life. One day, he heard of a group in need of a heavy hitter but had tough luck recruiting due to every one they meet refusing. He got curious so he sought them out. Turns out it was a vigilante team waging a war against a crime syndicate. After a tryout, he joined. Now, he fights for a cause in which failure can spell disaster.

Calvin has the Rage. Whenever he stomps the ground he can manipulate the surrounding earth as he sees fit from erecting a pillar to encasing himself in earth chunks as armor that also disperse to pelt surrounding enemies. Those abilities, combined with his wrestling expertise, makes him a real force to be reckoned with.
