When she was a child her mother committed suicide because of something one of her bullies have called her, thus she got sent to a foster home. Because of that unexpected twist of fate she started becoming rebellious and disrespectful to the adults that it led her to joining a gang. She fell in love with the leader for a while until their plan gave her a change of heart, so she left. After graduating high school she underwent training at a police academy and later studied Hapkdo. Thanks to said training on both fronts, she rose through the ranks in the LAPD. At age 23 she tried love again and succeeded in marrying a carpenter from Oregon. But one day, a pursuit went horribly wrong when her partner went rogue after discovering the suspect was the one that eluded him for many years. The arrest was successful, but she had to subdue her partner in the process. That case made her quit the force. But that didn't go well with her husband either, so they split. At first, she was running out of options for decent living until she heard about Santa Azul, so she heads there and starts her career as a Private Investigator. Case after case, she solves them with flying colors, but this one, she didn't expect to have her fate intertwine with a young group of vigilantes.

She has the Spirit, and upon gaining a certain threshold of will and confidence the user attains "HIGH SPIRIT", a state that greatly enhances speed and durability. Salazar's ability is attaining great focus with sight, sound and other senses which, combined with her Hapkido, allows more efficient ways to catch and counter enemy attacks. That ability also gave her a keen sight on her investigations. But overuse may result in a throbbing headache.
