Legionnaire of the Ember Warband and proud member of the Flame Legion, Skarn long believed that his Legion was on a misguided path. These disagreements coaxed Skarn to avoid defending the Citadel of Flame when the Pact lead their assault and ultimately took down the Flame Legion Imperator. Fortunately, this act of treason was never discovered.

When Scarlet Briar revealed herself and promised a new future for the Flame Legion, along with many others, Skarn jumped at the opportunity to enroll his Warband into her Molten Alliance, but his animosity towards the Dredge prevented him from staying on board, and he and his band mates departed moments before the arrival of the Vigil. When the Molten Alliance was effectively defeated, the Ember Warband's absence was declared and act of cowardice and betrayal, and the group was labeled an enemy of the Flame Legion.

With no allies to turn to, Skarn led his Warband to the gates of the Black Citadel, seeking amnesty in exchange for information on his former Legion and Scarlet's forces, the only option available for him to keep his band mates safe, his one and only true concern. Now, the Ember Warband lives as outcasts in a settlement that fears and despises them.

But Skarn has plans for the future...
