Plato was born on a large space colony to a pair of wealthy parents. His parents owned a large library of books, which he spent much of his time. His books about various adventurers, real and fictional, has gave him a desire to go out and see what the galaxy has to offer. However, he wouldn't have any opportunity for years to come.

After earning a masters degree in literature, and becoming a certified literacy teacher, he was given his first opportunity to leave the colony. He applied for a job to teach literature in a middle school on planet SR-175. After several years, he recieved a job offer at a community college over in SA-112, where he worked for a decade before retiring.

While he was teaching, he also worked on a novel, which was about a space pirate who constantly ran and hid in fear from a ruthless bounty hunter. His travels would cause him to turn his life away from crime, and face the consequences for his previous actions.
The success of the novel allowed his aforementioned retire, and spent the rest of his life exploring various planets. A life of excitement, a life fraught with danger.

Due to having not grown up in an Avali nation, Plato doesn't have a neural implant, and at most has a machine built to regulate his body temperature.
Out of necessity, to be able to defend himself better, he paid for weapons and combat training. He'd rather talk things out or run. But if left with no other choice, he will fight!
