Epic Prose is a Pegasus who works for an organization known as the Shadowbolts. His job usually consists of infiltration and information gathering, as well as sometimes assassination and asset retrieval. When off-duty he masquerades as a writer and a publisher for various others, including A.K. Yearling, known better as Daring Do.

He is generally a kind and compassionate pony, known for opening his house and his heart to others and often going out of his way for those he cares and loves. When roused to anger, though, he can be a cold and calculating foe who uses logic and psychology to destroy his foes completely.
