Generally outwardly laid back and calm despite high levels of anxiety. Jay is typically friendly, but very socially awkward and sometimes has a hard time making friends; sometimes accidentally coming off as rude or blunt. He is rarely aggressive towards others and is generally well-liked. He has a strong sense of humor and generally gains favour with others by making puns.

If it's important in a situation that he get his way, Jay can be extremely manipulative. He's intelligent and polite most of the time. He prefers to spend time alone, generally being an independant and anti-social animal who prefers his own company to that of others -- can sometimes disappear for days or even weeks on end to spend time alone. He is generally very quiet in large groups due to anxiety, but in smaller groups is often very outgoing and loud. He is extremely sarcastic and has a quick wit.
