X is a prototype of a service bot belonging to the company Electrave. She was built to test the new AI they had developed, and had to go through 'training' to see how it held up.
Unfortunately, this training involved the use of electric shocks as punishment, which made her anxious and caused her to hate herself. She escaped during a power cut caused by Heartbleed, but when she was free she realised that she would have to create a false, more confident and outgoing personality if she wanted to survive in the world without being treated like she was before.
She now works as a teaching assistant at Rutherford Secondary School, and doesn't know that it was Heartbleed who helped her escape.
