Fresno is a stray. A mutt. A gypsy with no formal pedigree. She really is a sweet and loving dog, or at least she wants to be. She yearns to put her faith in people, yearns to loved by that "special" person. But humanity has just proven over and over again that it cannot be trusted. People mistreat her, use her, and then toss her out like yesterdays garbage. She still holds a sweet demeanor even after all the abuse, but she is wary of strangers. And she has been known to growl and become defensive around people who are; loud, moving quickly, yelling (even if not angrily), really tall, have deep voices and other dogs who appear aggressive or dominant as well. Though she seems skittish and shaky don't let first impressions fool you. She has bitten before, and will do it again if need be. Fresno is in survival mode, and survive she will.
