In Yugioh GX: The Wrath of Torrez, she was going to confess but choose not to, but Pattie encouraged her to open up to Jesse. She also has her love for children and loves to protect them at all cost. Like Pattie and Faline, she also has that enthusiastic and fun side of her.

Biography

Vanessa was born in 19xx Sinaloa, Mexico. When she was born she was born into a wealthy family along with her cousin, Eric Hernandez. At the age of 4, her parents went on a business trip for a few days but sadly her parents died in a serious plane crash traveling back home. After the tragic, the grandmother took her in and raised little Vanessa back in Sinaloa. A year later, her grandmother told her stories about the Diamond Heroes on how they were a legend along with the Crystal Beasts. She was amazed at the stories of the Diamond Heroes. On her birthday, Maximillion Pegasus showed up and talked to her about her grant of the Diamond Heroes deck, but as soon as she saw them the cards began to break free and she knows that she's the keeper of the Diamond Heroes. When Vanessa was in second grade, she and her grandmother moved to Canada to be closer to Eric and the family which made her a happier again. As she got older at the age of 14 she got accepted to England Academy a year after Eric. She was set in the Silver Wolves as them. She and Pattie got off the wrong foot with them arguing so much about Eric. But explained that she's related to him and doesn't want to fight her. Pattie felt bad and apologized and wanted to start over with their relationship. The second semester she and the couples met Axel Brodie, she didn't like the fact he's bossing Pattie around but was scared of him. When she was being harassed by a man wanting her deck, Axel came knocked out the man she was grateful for his rescue and became close friends with him.

Yugioh GX: The Wrath of Torrez
Vanessa transferred to Duel Academy in season three along with her cousin and Pattie and a few other students. After the opening ceremony, she became fast friends with Jaden and his friends. Later in the evening, she caught Pattie leaving the school so she warned Jaden, Eric and the gang about her going after Torrez. Ms. Topes lectured to the gang about Pattie's older sister, Princess Elisha Quilter soul was taken by the Orichalcos Prince, Torrez. Vanessa tagged along with Jaden and the gang to go help, Pattie. When they arrived in ancient Belize they found Pattie dueling and won. Vanessa and the others ran to her but Pattie got annoyed with them. But Vanessa protested saying she'll be helping her to take down Torrez whether she likes it or not. When they arrived at the palace they saw Torrez's sister trapped in a cage. Vanessa summons her Diamond Hero Strike Queen to break her free. They walked into the throne room and saw Torrez waiting for them he challenged Pattie into a duel which she accepts Vanessa got out her duel disk and so did Jaden and the others. After his defeat, Torrez summoned his Dark Behemoth Dragon to eliminated the gang Pattie Summoned her Aqua Sparkling Dragon to take down the dragon. Vanessa used her Diamond Hero Shine Queen and the others summoned their strongest monsters and together they defeated the dragon and Torrez. All the spirits were free and there they found Elisha lying on the realm table unconscious. She woke up and saw Pattie and the rest of the gang and thanked them for the rescue and assisting Pattie throughout. Then later returned to Duel Academy with the Princess and then she tagged along for the year.

Yugioh GX: Season 3
After the incident, Vanessa remained in Duel Academy with Eric, Pattie and the others. Their first day of class Professor Thelonius Viper have a throw down duel between Jaden and Pattie and has a bio-band on their wrists. During the duel, she was too skeptical with Professor Viper and talked to Jesse about the situation. He said not to worry about it that they had Elisha to observe the situation. After the duel, the bio-bands began to glow and the two passed out on the floor, Vanessa ran towards the two holding Pattie tightly panicking. Later, she found out what was Viper really up to, she warned the gang and went after him to take him down once and for all. When they encounter Viper, he challenged Jaden and Pattie to a duel; Vanessa pleaded for her friends not to duel but they couldn't refuse this duel so she had no choice but to sit and watch the whole thing. Jesse didn't like the idea either but told her she had to respect her choice and let her duel Viper with Jaden.
After the showdown with Viper, he suddenly disappeared and the gang was somewhere in another dimension. Vanessa was worried for Eric's whereabouts, Jesse encouraged her knowing Eric is ok and might be at the school waiting for them. As they were walking rock began flying out of the ground and pulled Amber and ran, but saw Axel and Giana under the crumbling rocks. She and the others helped them up and made their way to the nurse's office and see Chazz wide awake. Jaden and Pattie were put to rest as the others went to the gym and saw the other students. Vanessa was still upset because she was too worried about Eric, but luckily Eric appeared at the entrance greeting the gang. Vanessa happily ran towards him for a hug, she asked about his whereabouts and he told her that he went after Viper but ended up here. But neither did she realize he had his own agenda.
A few days later, she and the girls (except Pattie and Giana), stayed back in Duel Academy while the guys went to go get the aid kit for Blair. As she was waiting on the stone block with Amber, they saw one of the students walking towards them wanting to duel them. Before she got into action, Alexis grabbed her and Amber and made a run for it telling them that they're not students anymore; they're known as duel ghouls. Vanessa was confused but took her word for it and flee from the ghouls. When Jaden and the rest of the gang (including Bastion) returned with the aid kit and other supplies they saw a bunch of duel ghouls surrounding them, Vanessa spotted them and told them not to duel them and let's get to safety. Jesse asked what's the reason and she responded she'll explain it as well as the girls. So the gang was in the closet room and Vanessa explained everything about the students' behavior telling them that they should get that kit to Blair right away. Then two ghouls came out of the lockers, Jesse got in front of her having his duel disk ready, telling her to go get that medicine to Blair. She went with Pattie, Giana, and Jaden to the nurse's office, but Ms. Fontaine became a duel and tried to reach for her. Giana pushed her away from the girls. Pattie summoned her Aqua Magician Girl and ordered her to take Blair to the main gym. Vanessa summons her Diamond Hero White Fox to eliminate the ghouls and made a run for it to the main gym. She saw with Jesse and smiled thanking him for being there to defend her from the ghouls she gave him a kiss on the cheeks and blushes a little. Jesse cheeks went red for her actions and looked away shyly.
At the end of the adventure, Jesse and Vanessa were at the pier looking at the moonlight. Vanessa cried heavily in arm telling him how much she missed him and was sorry for not being there for him more. Jesse embraced her with a kiss letting her know that he loves her no matter what and is happy to have her in his life calling her his "beautiful diamond". Due to their love and compassion for each other, the became a couple and remained at Duel Academy for Season 4.

Graduation and Ongoing
The end of the senior year, Vanessa, Eric, and Pattie returned back to England for their graduation ceremony. Vanessa was in the back looking at a picture of her and Jesse together and the gang as well. Pattie hugs her behind telling her not to be sad, she'll still be with him no matter what. Vanessa smiled and hugs her tightly shedding tears, Eric joined in on the hug. As the graduation began, Jesse and the gang were in their caps and gowns. Vanessa embraces Jesse with a kiss and sobs, but during the ceremony, they watched the fireworks and kissed under the moonlight.

Fours years later, Jesse and Vanessa got married at the age of 22. She became a Pro Duelist along with Jaden, Jesse, Pattie, and Eric. At the age of 27, she became pregnant and had a daughter named, Kiara Anderson.

Vanessa is the only female that has a deck is similar to Jesse's Crystal Beasts.
She's the fourth tallest of the girls the first is Echo, Giana, and Bedelia.
Vanessa and Jesse's shipping name is JewelShipping because they both having Jewel deck Jesse having Crystals and Vanessa having Diamonds.
