Nessa is a female priestess of an amphibious race called the Sheandi.

She's young and curious about the world outside of her village. Nessa is quiet and reserved, only speaking out when addressed directly or if she's speaking her mind.

Her healing abilities are channeled through her control of the element of water. However she's a novice and still learning the extent of her abilities.

The sheandi have often been mistaken for Mermaids on dark nights or storms.

Their skin ranges from a pale muddy brow, pale pink, and gray purple/blue. They've Fins on the side of their heads, these fins hide their gills from plain sight. They human traits as well, such as hair, fingers, toes, and lungs. Their hair varies from a sea green, to a soft pink, and even "normal" colours like brown and blonde.

They're able to survive on land for a long period of time, for days- even weeks at a time if need be. Their hands and feet are webbed for easy swimming. The sheandi are able to swim for long periods, and major distances at a time.

They're incredibly vulnerable to the cold, and will freeze like a Popsicle in most northern climates. They tend to make small settlements along beach lines, the water is warmer and the younglings like to play in the sand.
