Joker is a demon with godly powers and is Patchwork’s power and life source. Joker was created by a being known as Faceless. Faceless is the creator of all demon-like creatures like Joker. It’s their goal to rule the world. Faceless isn’t powerful enough to reach this goal by themselves. So they create demons. He plans to create the perfect demon so they could use it to reach their goal. Joker is, or was, their perfect creation. Joker had it all, godly powers, intelligence, and most importantly, ruthless. Joker doesn’t know how to use all of her power. The only things she’s learned is possession and puppet creation, which she is very good at. Because of this she was nicknamed the demon of patchwork. After she had mastered these abilities she was let out into the world to cause chaos. She caused chaos and destruction. She was feared as she roamed the earth destroying everything in her path. However that rein was short lived. She was sealed away by a powerful priest into a seal that morphs into whatever the wearer believes it to be. When Joker was sealed away in that item it became a small plushie that looked like her. The plushie was buried not to be found for many years. The antique collector that owned and created Patchwork found the plushie Joker was sealed in. Out of curiosity the antique collector took this plushie home. After so many years the seal had weakened, so Joker could get out. However she no longer had a body. She thought she could possess Patchwork and take over her body completely because she isn’t living. Joker had never possessed an inanimate object before, but she never expected the results she got. After possessing Patchwork she was given life. Considering Joker had given life to puppets she’s created before, this result wasn’t entirely unexpected. The seal Joker was in became the multicolored bow tie she wears today. All the power Joker had was transferred to Patchwork. However Patchwork needs Joker to survive. All the power Joker has is still in the seal and is the only thing keeping Patchwork alive. Without it she’s just a normal plushie. However without Patchwork Joker wouldn’t be what she is now. Out of pity for Joker Patchwork made her the body she has today. Even if Patchwork has all her power she now has free-will which she’s never had before. Well, besides the rule that she can’t hurt anybody or Patchwork will seal her conscious back in the bow tie. However Faceless hasn’t forgotten about Joker or her original purpose. Personality-wise Joker is extremely mischievous and sadistic. She’s also intelligent and thinks anything that’s illogical is pointless. She loves messing with Patchwork and likes to test her patience. She doesn’t mess with Patchwork as often as she used to, because she would like to keep her body. Joker is actually kinda terrified of Patchwork. Joker can’t change expressions, so she has different faces she switches between.

(By the way this isn’t even close to all of Patchwork and Jokers backstory. I didn’t even mention Crescent who was Jokers loyal servant, but now serves Patchwork. Believe there’s a lot more to this.)
