Huka is a young skyshark* cockatrice, originally intended to be trained in the sport of falconry but dropped from the program when it came to light that he is deaf. Overall his personality can be described as “cheeky,” as he tends to have a mind of his own and likes getting in to just about everything. This can be a bit scary, as he stands at about seven feet tall at the top of his three-foot toothy head. Because of this we recommend him to someone who can be confident around her, and wouldn’t mind constantly having to ask what he’s got in his mouth now.

*Skyshark cockatrix are a large (4-8 feet tall, wingspans easily reaching 20ft), fully flighted variety of cockatrice. There’s some debate about whether they constitute a subspecies or an entirely different species, but their key differences are great size, consistent flightedness, large and toothy heads, and a quadrupedal stance. They may be a bit awkward or alien on the ground, but they are all efficient and graceful aerial hunters.
